WELLS CATHEDRAL VOLUNTARY CHOIRSing at Wells Cathedral and in churches and venues throughout Somerset
We deputise for the Cathedral Choir when it is on holiday or performing elsewhere and sing between 40 and 50 regular services a year in Wells Cathedral.
An amateur auditioned choir of 32, we strive for a high standard and rehearse weekly under a professional Music Director.
Our repertoire of canticles, masses and anthems is varied in style and period.
As well as Cathedral services we sing for weddings, memorial services and occasional charity concerts throughout the Diocese of Bath and Wells and every summer we spend a week in residence at another cathedral.
We are a friendly, sociable group and have the occasional party while a visit to the pub in Wells after rehearsal is not unknown!
We are always interested in new choir members, so if you want to know more, please contact us.
