Frome Light The Night create inspiring community celebration events. Led by artists Mel Day and Aliss Vaas who have decades of experience in community arts projects including the annual Frome Light The Night Lantern parade.

We help individuals, community groups and schools to participate in the making of incredible lantern parades through accessible, friendly and fun workshops. We focus on bringing people together to share in the making experience and being part of large and joyful events, filled with art, light, music and togetherness.

Lantern making is a wonderful school activity covering curriculum elements, working on 3D design, team work, arts and creativity.

We have many skills in leading other areas of participatory arts including banner, quilt, sculpture and costume making and are ready to work with groups to help develop your ideas.

We have been awarded public funding from The Big Lottery Fund, Frome Town Council and Frome People’s Budget.

We have PLI and full DBS.
